Data deletion guidelines

This page describes how individuals and organizations can request deletion, erasure, or anonymization of personal data processed in connection with Eyvent AI (“Eyvent”, the “Services”) offered by Renaissance Research Technologies Private Limited (“RRTPL”, “we”, “us”) at https://eyvent.io. Eyvent was formerly known as Ripplbot.

These guidelines are provided for transparency and to support common platform review requirements (including Meta-related disclosures). They do not replace applicable law or your statutory rights.

1. Who should make a request

1.1 Customer administrators (vendor accounts)

If your company has an Eyvent account, your administrators should first use in-product tools to delete contacts, conversations, templates, or other records where the product supports deletion. Administrators can often fulfill many deletion requests without involving RRTPL.

1.2 Authorized users (employees/agents of a Customer)

Contact your organization’s Eyvent administrator. If you need account access removed, your administrator can typically deactivate users.

1.3 End users who messaged a business using Eyvent

If you received WhatsApp (or other) messages from a business that uses Eyvent, that business is usually the data controller for your interaction. Contact that business first to request deletion or to stop messages. If you cannot identify the business, provide us with the phone number or context and we will attempt to route your request to the appropriate Customer where feasible and lawful.

1.4 Visitors to eyvent.io

For personal data we collect as controller through our website or marketing forms, you may request deletion using the process below.

2. How to submit a request to RRTPL

Submit a request using the official contact channels published on https://eyvent.io. Your request should include:

  • Your full name and (if applicable) organization name;
  • Contact email and/or phone number;
  • Your relationship to Eyvent (Customer admin, Authorized User, end user of a Customer, website visitor);
  • The specific data you want deleted (for example “my user profile”, “contact record with phone +91…”, “conversation with business X”);
  • Country / state of residence (helps us apply the correct legal framework); and
  • Any reference IDs, screenshots, or message examples that help us locate data (without sending unnecessary sensitive documents).

3. Identity verification

To protect privacy and security, we may need to verify your identity before processing a request. Verification may include confirming control of an email address, account login (where applicable), or requesting additional information proportionate to the risk of wrongful deletion. We may refuse requests that are fraudulent, excessively repetitive, or manifestly unfounded (where permitted by law).

4. What we can delete (and what we may retain)

4.1 Data we delete or anonymize (where applicable)

Depending on your role and technical feasibility, we may delete or irreversibly anonymize:

  • Website/marketing contact submissions we control;
  • Account profile fields and authentication identifiers for accounts we control as controller (subject to legal exceptions);
  • Customer Content where we act as processor, when instructed by the relevant Customer or where law requires us to act without instruction; and
  • Derived logs that directly identify you, where feasible without compromising security logs needed to protect the Services.

4.2 Data we may retain

We may retain certain information where required or permitted by law, including:

  • billing, tax, and accounting records;
  • records needed to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims;
  • security, fraud-prevention, and abuse-prevention records;
  • aggregated or de-identified analytics that do not identify individuals; and
  • backup copies until overwritten in accordance with our backup rotation schedule.

5. Response timelines

We aim to acknowledge requests within seven (7) days and to complete verified requests within thirty (30) days, unless a longer period is reasonably necessary due to complexity or legal obligations. If we need more time, we will notify you with reasons, where required by law.

Some laws impose shorter deadlines; where those laws apply, we will comply with the stricter timeline.

6. WhatsApp / Meta data

Deletion performed in Eyvent (or instructed by a Customer) may not delete all data held by Meta/WhatsApp or other carriers. End users may have additional controls within WhatsApp and should review Meta’s help resources. Customers remain responsible for compliance with WhatsApp data practices applicable to their messaging programs.

7. Appeals

If we deny part of your request, we will explain the reason where required by law. Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to appeal or complain to a regulator (for example the Data Protection Board of India, where applicable).

8. No fee

We do not charge a fee for a standard request unless permitted by law for manifestly unfounded or excessive requests.
